Dr. Connie Presson, L. Ac., Dipl OM, is a licensed acupuncturist and board certified herbalist specializing in Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) treatment of infertility.
Connie first became interested in TCM treatment of fertility while she was in acupuncture school. She served as an assistant to an acupuncturist who specialized in the same. She was moved by the many different stories from patients experiencing this challenge and motivated by the results that her mentor was able to help them achieve with TCM.
When Connie received her doctoral training at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, she received in depth instruction and clinical experience in the treatment of infertility in both men and women. Since then, Connie has treated patients in all stages of fertility issues, from those just beginning to try conceiving to those who have been trying for years with many attempts at in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intrauterine insemination (IUI). She also works in cooperation with her patients’ endocrinologists, aiding them in the process of assisted reproductive therapy (ART).
Connie is a caring, passionate and dedicated healthcare giver. She has been practicing in different acupuncture clinics in Colorado over the past 10+ years and is very well liked by her patients and colleagues. She has also been involved in a number of clinical research projects in the field of acupuncture and other alternative medicine moralities.
Connie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Anthropology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her background in Ecology gives her a deep appreciation for the natural world and a deeper understanding of the Tao, a core principle in Chinese medicine.
Connie’s treatment methods focus on bringing the body’s ecosystem back into balance with the concept and insights of Synergy, using multiple modalities of treatment and healing energy together to achieve results greater than the sum of their parts.
